I'm only on the third tank of fuel so undoubtedly the performance will improve a bit more but I am very impressed with the improvement a ported 261 makes over a stock 261. I've used a plain ol' 261 for the last 5 years so I'm familiar with how it performs in various situations. By the end of the first cut with the ported 261 I was very impressed. Throttle response and power were both much better than stock. I run a 20" with .325 and the main reason I wanted to try the ported version was to pull that 20" with more authority. Yes, it absolutely pulls the 20" very well. I tried noodling a few 16"-18" long Madrone rounds and was surprised how much quicker and stronger it felt compared to stock. If you're a fan of the 261 I recommend getting a ported version.

I'm looking for a bench seat cover and the ones from Saddleman look good but I'd love to hear some real world experiences if anyone cares to share. It's a work truck so nothing fancy needed but trying to find something that will hide the dirt and also not cause "swamp ass" on hot days.
