Downsized from a Corsair 7000 to a 5000. Any reccomendations or advice on what to do next? 4090 Suprim Liquid - Intel Ultra 9 285K
Whats going on guys!
I just finished rebuilding my setup after downsizing from a Corsair 7000X into a Corsair 5000D Airflow, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. I wanted something a little smaller while still keeping strong airflow and a clean layout. Also, I haven't built a pc in a long time so if anyone sees anything wrong please let me know!
Current specs:
- Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow
- GPU: MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero
- RAM: 64GB Corsair Dominator Platinum
- Cooling/Fans: Full Corsair iCUE LINK setup with a 13 fans (3 on Corsair Titan 420mm Liquid Cpu Cooler with LCD upgrade + 2 on the 4090 Radiator) rest of fans are are case mounted.
- PSU: 1250W power supply
- Lighting/Control: Corsair iCUE ecosystem + New Corsair Xeneon Edge
Besides the obvious “upgrade to a 5090” answer, is there anything else you guys would recommend upgrading, changing, or optimizing?
I’m mainly looking for ideas around cooling, airflow, cable management, aesthetics, storage, BIOS/settings tweaks, or anything that could make the build cleaner or perform better. Curious what you guys would do next with a setup like this.

Looking forward to hearing back from you guys!
