I’m looking at potentially buying a 1875 home with a dirt floor basement. We use our basement now for storage so I’m a little concerned that the dirt basement would not even be useable for that purpose. I did a little research and it seems like pouring a concrete floor is really expensive and might even mess up drainage etc.

Do y’all use your dirt floor basements for storage? I was thinking shelving that is raised up from the ground would work, but maybe there’s something I’m not thinking through. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for a cheaper flooring alternative that would make the space more useable that would be great! Ty

Found crawling in the bathroom at a hotel. Checked the bed, couch and carpets and didn’t see any other signs. The body shape and size are suspicious but the color/opacity doesn’t seem right. Can anyone give me some peace of mind here?
