Problem/Goal: We're planning drive to Zamboanga to visit my wife's family but I'm overthinking the safety of our drive.

Context: We will be coming from Cebu then ride a boat to Dipolog. The long drive will be from Dipolog to Baliguian. I haven't driven a car in Mindanao and I definitely have no idea of how safe the route is.

I'm slowly getting more paranoid after all the news circulating lately and I'd love any advice that would put my mind at ease.

Are there things that I should look out for? Are there dangerous routes that I shouldn't be taking? Are there different regional vehicle laws? I have no idea.

I'd love to arrive alive and come back alive. 😂
