why would anyone say this to another

"I wasn't sad because we broke up, but because my life went back to normal after we did."

how do you even begin to move on from the hurt this causes? she dumped me 3 months ago and we've been in no contact.

She said this during our last conversation and ever since then this singular line that she gave me as a parting "gift" has been repeating itself over and over again in my head. I just want it to stop. Everytime I shower, I go out, I do ANYTHING, those words repeat again and again.

I don't understand why she felt the need to say that. Even without asking other people I , myself, know that it is NEVER okay to say that to someone else. so WHY would she say something like this to me after claiming that we ended on "good terms"?

For context, we ended on "good" (it was one sided, she wanted to end it but i didn't) terms you can assume that we didn't have much problems asides from LDR being the main issue. So it wasn't a toxic relationship so i have no clue why she would say something like that to me.
