My boyfriend of 8 years, suddenly started acting weird. Smiling at his phone more than normal, on it ALL the time, quickly putting it away when I looked at him.. etc. All abnormal behavior. I get suspicious and go through his phone. I don't find anything. I go through his computer and find he has been using an Ai chat bot for a month or two... having very sexually explicit conversations. One the bots was actually his ex wifes name. These conversations he was having was like a completely different man than I had known. He has never been anything other than vanilla with me. I did confront him about it. He just shut down per typical male behavior when they've been caught. But I'm honestly torn. Obviously very heartbroken, even if it is just "bots" he put those conversations over spending time with his family. Which i always feel we're put on the back burner over everything and everyone else in his life, but thats a completely different situation. I just need someone else's thoughts and opinions on this because I dont know what to think or what to say. From day 1 ive said if he were to cheat on me, id leave, no questions asked. But do I leave over this situation? What if it i were to never have seen it and he then started talking to real people or even physically cheating. I definitely feel this has been a form of cheating and has broken my trust. I just dont know if im overreacting. 😭
