so i've had a gaming laptop for about 4 years now and it has some sort of hidden issue where the mic never works no matter what headset i try. i've had alot over the years but i just bought a new one and the mic doesnt work, but the headphones do. i tried everything, made sure it was plugged in all the way, not muted, made sure it was the correct input device. i dont know what to do

i have a few good spots in chicago if anyone would want to trade, ive just been getting bored of them and cant seem to find any new ones. message me if you have one :))
