I've been dating my boyfriend for 1 year + 4 months (broken up for 1 year in the middle). We've been doing long distance for those 4 months. It started off really great, he made lots of time, planned something really cute for valentines day. He even flew down so we could go on a trip together.
It all changed after the trip. We had an amazing time but something he said really threw me off. He said, "I feel so stupid. My dad is at home working and im here sitting on rocks with you". Mind you, it was a three day trip.
Since then he's done a full 180. Barely makes time for calls in the night, texts max three times in a day and acts really unexcited about anything i send. I asked him to plan something fun for us to do, like a date night. BOTH times, he left me waiting for 2+ hours after telling me not to make any plans because it was date night, claiming he forgot or got busy and it slipped his mind.
I COMPLETELY understand getting busy with work but all i wanted was a text telling me he's too busy at the moment and would like to reschedule. His work is not that strenuous and he sleeps till 12 everyday. He says he is not prioritising me but he doesnt know why.
I can't keep doing this. I'm really tired of him not showing up for me emotionally but he remains confident that I'm the girl he wants to end up with and I'm the love of his life. He claims he's trying but change isnt instant. But i can't feel it?
Is there any other option but to leave, i want to make this work but nothing is?
