A brutal crime recorded on the morning of Wednesday, 05/13, caused great repercussion in Osório, on the North Coast of Rio Grande do Sul. A 67-year-old man was found dead inside a residence located on Marechal Floriano Peixoto Street, in the central region of the city, with serious head injuries caused by beatings.
The victim was identified as José Alcides Boeira da
Silva.
According to the initial information obtained by the authorities, the body was located around 9:10 am. Next to the victim there was an iron bar and signs of extreme violence inside the residence.
The case drew even more attention due to the presence of an esoteric-looking symbol found near the body. In a piece of furniture in the house, blood marks formed drawings similar to eyes, triangles and stars, with characteristics preliminarily interpreted as occultists.
According to family members, José Alcides was a practicing Christian and had been last seen on Sunday, during a religious ceremony. The concern began after unanswered telephone contact attempts.
A family member decided to go to the property and, with the help of a locksmith, managed to access the residence. At the scene, he found the house turned over, with evidence of possible theft, in addition to the victim's body.
According to preliminary information, the elderly man had no criminal record or known history of disagreements. His partner lives in Canela, in Serra Gaúcha, but would own the residence where the crime happened.
