My coparent and I share custody. He has about 20% with a long distance plan while I have the kids during the school year.
During a (recorded) FaceTime call, my 4.5 year old son told me he was having a bad day and when I asked him why he said “because dad and X (his step mom) put me in a baby diaper and I’m not a baby.” He showed me and sure enough he’s in a diaper, not even a pull up. He’s been potty trained for over a year.
I confronted my ex about this and he said he was in a “pull up” because he was having stomach issues, but when I asked if he had taken him to the doctor he said no and it was “temporary and age appropriate.”
I am obviously really concerned about this and suspect they are very neglectful overall. During phone calls I can see viable animal vomit and extremely dirty floors and the kids don’t have beds (they have 6 in the house including my 2 when they have visitation).
What would you do in this situation??
