Hello my girlfriend and I have been looking for a used car for her, it would be her first car and after a while of looking I found this 2018 Acura TLX, it’s a nice car and everything, it has 120k miles and they are asking 11k for it, it said there was an accident reported so I did a vehicle check with Experian and it said there was a minor collision in 2020 and then severe structural damage reported by the auction in February 2026. I also checked carvertical and carvertical shows nothing damage wise etc. Like I mentioned it does say a clean title, the sales person says there’s nothing wrong with it and the frame and such is solid, I also would like to mention I would be traveling from NY to NJ to purchase the vehicle, I don’t know what kind of laws/loopholes they have and I want to be sure it can be registered and inspected in NY. Am I setting myself up for failure here?
