My husband and I (25&26) are wanting to leave Colorado with our two kids (5&1).
We want areas that are ideal for families in all the basic ways. Good schools, good environment, family activities, good job market, as good of a housing market as there can be right now, as well as we would like to try and stay somewhere with mountains (preferred but not required), forests, as well as somewhere with a good amount of snow in the winter, good amount of rain through the year.
We’ve looked into Oregon, Washington state, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Delaware, Idaho, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Maine, Virginia.
Now google SAYS these states match our preferences, and I’ve been to all but 3 states on this list but that was just for a trip so I have no idea what it’s like to be in any of these places long term.
I just want some insight on how day to day life really is in these areas. I KNOW I need to look into financials, work, schools, I KNOW there’s more to consider with moving states than just scenery, I KNOW there’s more to consider than just fun what I don’t know is what it’s really like to be a resident in these areas, just a visitor.
We have looked into everything we can from job market to housing market to schools to cost of living. All I’m wanting is input that Google cannot accurately provide.
Thank you.

My husband and I want to move out of the US.
We’ve looked into a few different countries and what it would take as far as visas/citizenship, work, costs of living, etc. and the countries we’ve narrowed down a few places but obviously statistics and data only provide so much insight on how day to day life really goes so I’d like some insight on the countries we’ve looked at or countries we should look into.
We have 2 kids (5y & 1y), my husband has a certification on full stack development, I have 3+ years experience in caregiving at assisted living facilities, and in case it matters more than I think it might for some places we are an interracial couple (Hispanic and Black).
We want to live somewhere family friendly, safe childcare in case we both need to/want to work, we would prefer somewhere with more greenery/forestry.
The areas we have looked into are:
Singapore, Japan, Germany, Iceland, Scotland, Italy, Greece, China, Australia, New Zealand, kinda everywhere honestly.
What input other than needing to brush up on laws, citizenships/visas, learn the language, all the fun stuff, should we have?
