I’m thinking about getting an Onyx Boox, but I came across this post (photo) from 5 years ago. Does anyone know if Onyx has gotten better since then, or if they still hide their source code? Any other thoughts about the consumer privacy/safety of Onyx?

Hey all, I have an older Xbox 1S that is on its last leg. Rather than replacing it, I’m thinking about upgrading my TV to something like the TCL QM6K and connecting it to my gaming laptop, which runs an RTX 4070.

Does anyone have any experience using a TCL TV such as the QM6K (or any other comparable tv for that matter) for a “gaming monitor”? Is the refresh rate/input lag “good enough?” I am a casual gamer who plays Fortnite, Halo, Assassins Creed, Hogwarts Legacy, etc.

“Why don’t you just buy a gaming monitor?” Because I love sitting on the couch, kicking the footrest up, and relaxing while I game, and my living room isn’t really set up to have a gaming monitor right in front of the couch like that.

So does anyone have experience connecting their gaming laptop to the TV? Pros/cons? Is there a chance that it would actually be better than connecting an older Xbox to my 2021 Vizio TV?

Any help or advice is appreciated!
