So my ex broke up with me around the end of February. It kind of blindsided me. She explained everything to me that weekend, and at the time I said I understood, but after thinking it over, I realized I didn’t. We never really talked about it again afterward.
Some context: we were together for around 4 years and had just bought a house together in September. I have some trouble talking about the things going on inside my head, so I sometimes kept things to myself. She knew this and helped me with it.
Now, the main reason she broke up with me wasn’t only that. She also said that I talked to girls on Discord (I knew them before I even met my ex, and it was always within a server). I think she saw some screenshots that didn’t feel right to her, but I never hid or deleted those chats, and I never met up with any of those people. It was always just friendly conversation, and I never even considered cheating.
Then in December/January, she confessed that she had been heavily flirting with her coworker. She promised me she would stop and said it had only happened at work and through text messages. I believed her and forgave her, but I still kept an eye on things and noticed she was still texting him.
Fast forward to now, and suddenly everything is my fault.
Now she says she’s already in a new relationship with this guy, so there must have been more going on, right? I don’t think she’ll ever confess what really happened during those last two months.
Is this something I should confront her about?
