Scanner scanning further than it should?

I have this range 300m scanner, but it is somehow scanning 500m away?
It used to have 4 range upgrades in there, so maybe it is bugged and thinks it still has these? Does anyone know how or why the scanner is scanning 500m whilst having a 300m range?

I know you are not meant to use the same power source on several bases. I found a bug to use power from thermal plants and solar panels on two bases that are not on the same grid, and now i am wondering if anyone knows of some obscure way to bug a nuclear reactor so that it gives its power to 2 bases.
