So a little background… I (21f) have been friends with this girl (20f) since we were 10 but moved states and visited every year since then. We still talked almost everyday but don’t get to see each other much.
My friend and her boyfriend have been together for a year now but ever since they’ve gotten together it’s been nothing but toxic and she’s also caught him cheating multiple times (texting and sending money to other women nonstop) he also has extreme anger issues and manipulates her everytime she tries to leave.
This last time she found him cheating she texted me saying she was done with him and ended up having her mom pick up her and her cat. I didn’t hear from her for almost a week after. I texted and called her everyday but no response so I started to get worried and thought to call her work to see if she’s been going to work and they said no one’s heard from her in days and they were worried too. I called her mom and she said she hasn’t heard from her since the night she picked her up but she ended up calling her boyfriend that same day to pick her up and her mom hasn’t talked to her since.
I ended up calling the police and asking them to do a wellness check on her because I was worried her boyfriend did something bad to her. I ended up getting a text from her saying “why is my work calling me saying you asked about me” and me not knowing if it’s her or her boyfriend texting me I told her to call me so I could hear her voice to make sure she’s ok. I finally get a call from her number but it was her boyfriend who answered and said “you’re f-ing crazy, you seriously called her work! Wtf is wrong with you just leave her alone!.” I tried saying “put her on the phone” but he hung up and I called her mom and let her know what was going on. My friend ended up actually sending me a voice message I could hear her crying saying “I’m fine I just need everyone to leave me alone because I need to make my own decisions and I don’t appreciate you calling the cops on me and calling my work that was bullshit”
She then blocked me on everything and that’s the last I heard from her. Does anyone know how to get her out of this situation because she’s being emotionally and physically abused by this man and I just lost my best friend because of it.
