I have recently joined a new remote company and am looking for coaching for career development. Most of the spaces online sound very gimmicky and more interested in selling memberships than creating actual connections.

For those who had one - How were you able to find a coach or mentor to help build leadership skills and strategize your career moves?

I’m looking for development in executive communication and strategy as I move up the career path. Unfortunately I do not have a large network yet and I’m not sure where to start with that either. Do I really have to get into LinkedIn?

I recently had emergency surgery and now the hospital sent me an EOB for $2000. When I go to the online website it says it’s still pending insurance claims to be processed. The problem is it’s also telling me the amount is due now .. shouldn’t I wait until insurance is done first? Or do I have to pay just because it’s due already? I am at a loss of what to do in this scenario and I haven’t gotten any answers from their “customer service” department.

I also have a low deductible that I thought would be my max. Not sure why I am paying more than that . Can anyone provide some ideas or resources on what I can do?
