How do y’all keep track of which are which when you have multiple varieties? Is trying a colored string loosely around the stalk a bad idea? Just looking for easy ways to keep track of colors once the blooms are gone. I need to divide this season.
Noticed this outter trim piece can be pulled up and wondered if there is a real, practical purpose for it. I can’t think of anything. It’s the rear-facing portion of the center console as seen from the 2nd row seats.

Rescued these rhizomes and about 60 others from a local yard debris drop off site, they are about 3 feet tall, but are leaning now. The buds are almost black and then bloom this stunning burgundy.
