Parking ticket sent to family member overseas?!
Extremely weird scenario. A family member who lives overseas, has received a (private co) parking ticket for MY vehicle (I'm the reg keeper). We have checked the dates/location, and it definitely is my car (and was me driving it / responsible for the parking fine).
He and I have the same initial and surname, and I have inputted his overseas name and address details in the the past to quote him on my car insurance when he comes back to visit etc. But other than that he's never been the owner/keeper of this car so we're completely baffled as to why he's received the parking charge notice. We have checked with DVLA - they don't have his overseas details on record.
How / why has he received this? Could data have been sold from when I used price comparison sites to put him on my insurance etc?
