UPDATE: They reversed the rejection and approved it! I’m leaving this up in case anyone else has a similar issue. I also changed my review on prolifictea. I don’t think this was the researcher’s fault as this was an auto-rejection by Prolific.

Be wary of this study. Says it will take 14 minutes to complete, I submitted it in 10 minutes, and was auto-rejected. This is only my third rejection in 3 years so it’s pretty disheartening. I passed the attention check and answered everything thoughtfully but still auto-rejected for going too quickly. I tried to appeal it and I messaged the researcher so I’ll see what happens. Just warning others so you don’t get rejected too!

Today my MacBook Air M4 256GB suddenly became extremely slow. It happened totally out of the blue. WiFi is working well for all other connected devices. I’ve used 9GB of 16GB. I checked the activity monitor and I don’t think I see anything suspicious, but I’m not a tech person. I noticed there was an available update, so I started the update 5 hours ago and this is how far it’s gotten. It’s just going extremely slow. I thought the update might help the slowness, but seems like it’ll be quite a while before I can determine that. Any advice? I bought this brand new last June and have never encountered slowness like this before. Thank you for reading!
