Investment bank tech or corporate bank tech division?

I am to chose a project in either investment bank or corporate bank, where both the roles are essentially more or less similar eg full stack roles. However Ib is said to be great for growth and we would learn tremendously but also can have intense workload and longer hours. Cb on the other hand is a lot more chill and has good team dynamics. I’m a fresher so which would be better to opt and why?

Pune or Bangalore?

I’m a fresher, female and I can pick either Pune or Bangalore for my job. Pune offices are in Yerawada/Magarpatta and Bangalore office is in Electronic City. I’m from Hyderabad, Telugu, and honestly I love it here lol.

I did my internship in Pune and it was okay-ish. I stayed with people from my college, but we didn’t really end up going out much or do stuff on weekends. I also found it kinda hard to make friends there who were open to random plans/activities. But maybe that’s just because it was only a 2 month internship.

I also struggled a bit adjusting to PG + office canteen life there.

What I really want is a city where I can meet cool people whose vibes actually match mine and have a good social life in my twenties. Idk how to define cool, but I mean like fun and chill that are ready to do things. The thing is, even with the people I went to Pune with from my own college, I still felt kinda distant because they already had their own friend groups and I never really had “my person” there.

Now almost everyone from my college is picking Pune, so I’m worried that if I pick Bangalore I’ll end up completely alone there.

At the same time, mine is a software job in the financial sector, and Pune seems really good for that kind of work/career growth too, which is making me even more conflicted.

For someone who has lived in Hyderabad most of her life, which city do you think is better to build a good life in your twenties — socially, lifestyle-wise, meeting people, work culture etc? If you do suggest a city what would be some advices to actually live and not rot away?
