So surgeon looked at xray and says bone shifted so now I’m consulting to see if another surgery is in the future. I’m so sad about this. It’s been four weeks into healing and now I may have to start all over again.

So when I become FWB I am looking for sturdy comfy wide shoes. I prefer black sneaker type. I have Hokas but I broke my ankle while wearing these so not sure if they r the safest? Any expert review on shoes?

I broke my ankle in three places April 8 2026 while on vacation in Cali.Dr would not let me fly so my family had to leave me there. I live on East coast and I knew No ONE in Cali. Spent 6 days in hospital and then 2 weeks in a rehab care facility. Insurance stopped paying so we had to fly out. That was hell itself. Even with extra leg room I could not elevate and my left foot and arm were broken and non weight bearing.
So now I’m almost 4 weeks NWB. Frustrated, sad, worried. Drs in my town think bone shifted a little but said they don’t correct other surgeons work so not sure what’s gonna happen. I got stitches out last week and see ortho again in three more days. I just want to walk again. I’m so scared when and if that day comes will I break it again. I literally was just walking and stepped up on a curb and my ankle buckled. I didn’t trip or anything
