I was a bit skeptical about it, specially the "new kid" feeling a bit too "OC" but it grew on me fast.

I would love to see the whole series redone in that style, with a better ending added in for good measure.

When I try to light up darker nooks of my base during the day they remain dark.

Torch in a dark corener during daytime

Torch in the same corner during the night

Same for the character, see here how the torch doesn't iluminate my character at all during the day

During nighttime it iluminates the characters, as it should.
