I've been really appreciating this subreddit - it makes me happy that there is such a large community to support eachother. I also appreciate the reality hits of some of the negatives as Im able to prepare for anything really.
I'm currently on 5/6 of the zoladex injections. I currently have a 22cm fibroid(yet to find out if it has shrunk after the 6th). The plan is a myomectomy with a chance of hysterectomy. Fingers crossed I keep my uterus!
I just wanted to share the side effects and an interesting one that I feel has been brought on by the meds but have not yet seen it brought up -
Side effects
- hot flushes
- joint/muscle pain
- irritance
- intrusive thoughts
- Weight gain
- depressive episodes
I was prepared for any and/or all of the above.
What I'm finding on top of the above is that I'm having incredibly vivid dreams. Every time I sleep even if its a nap. They're not good, not bad but I do wake up anxious and a little exhausted. Has anyone else found they dream more? Before this, I would always say I haven't dreamt in so long unless I'm stressed and have nightmares but never dreams.
