I recently switched to a USB C cable where it connects my M4 Macbook Pro to my monitor and simultaneously charges it. To avoid my battery constantly being charged to 100%, i installed the Al Dente app and set up a charging limit of 80%. If I were to have my computer constantly plugged in with Al Dente running, will it be detrimental to its battery health in the long run? If so, alternatively i can switch the USB C out for an HDMI cable and charge with a separate magsafe charger.
