After visiting my mother-in-law yesterday, I sent a text to the family thread today wishing the rest of the women Happy Mother’s Day. Only 1 of us 3 daughters-in-law is in the church (1 is never-mo), and 2 of 4 of their sons are in. My in-laws are TBMs to the enth degree. My mother-in-law responds with this… “Thank you and a happy Mother Day to all of my daughters. Being sealed to you for all of eternity is everything to me. I love you 💕” While I know that she meant it, it feels so backhanded. But it kind of says she’s only grateful for the 1 daughter-in-law and 2 sons that will be part of her eternal family. According to their doctrine, two entire families will NOT! Just irritating. 🫤
