Where in the EU should I target for entry-level IT/Cyber?

Hey there,

I am a 20-year-old male looking to start my career in the EU. I have an Irish passport, so I have full right to work anywhere in the EU without needing a visa.

My Background:

  • Education: Canadian diploma in IT/Cybersecurity.
  • Languages: Native Russian speaker; fluent English.
  • Work Experience: 2 years in hospitality and 4 months in retail sales at Best Buy in Canada.

I am aiming for entry-level roles such as SOC Analyst, IT Support/Helpdesk, or even linguistic roles. I am currently considering Ireland and Spain, but I am open to anywhere in the EU where my background is an asset.

Also:

  1. Which EU cities currently have a high demand for entry-level IT support/Helpdesk?
  2. Does my native Russian fluency give me a plus in specific fields like Threat Intelligence or OSINT in the EU?
  3. What route should I take, at least to start somewhere

I would appreciate any advice)

Hey guys, so I'm (23M) an Irish citizen who have never lived in Ireland or Europe. I know that i can live and work across all EU. I have been applying for jobs on both indeed and Linkedin and have no success.

I have studied in Canadian college, did 2 years in Cybersecurity and got my diploma. During the school I have worked in the restaurant as line chef and after I worked same job plus sales representative at tech store. So, i have around 3 YOE in restaurant and half a year in that store. Oh, and i have lab experience and knowledge about IT networking like Cisco and Fortinet and some cybersecurity kowledge.

Also, I speak fluently in both English and Russian. IDK if it would help me tbh.

So, I'm looking for an advice where to look for job, am I doing everything right or the job market is so bad nowadays? and also how to lad a job or any companies that could hire me. I would appreciate any advice from you guys.
