My endo prescribed me 0.5 testosterone cypionate 100mg per ml (to be taken via intramuscular injection) but she wants me to take it every 28 days.
She is insistent on monthly doses but from what I've seen, this won't work out well as testosterone is typically taken weekly or biweekly and this dose is a dose a lot of trans men take weekly / biweekly and it has a half life of only 8 days meaning I will basically have nothing left in me for weeks while waiting for my next dose.
I'm 17 and I am on lupron monthly, which my endo is keeping me on. I'm mainly concerned about mood fluctuations as I know many trans men tend to feel tired or down whenever they miss their dose.
My endo is supposed to be a specialist in gender affirming care.
I can't find anything about this dosage online so I am seeking advice and/or reassurance.
