I’m a 21M student and trying to improve my focus and discipline.

My current pattern:

- Masturbation: ~2–3 times/week

- Trigger: mainly when I’m alone, bored, or feeling low

- Porn: occasional

Problem:

- Right after, I feel guilty and mentally distracted

- Sometimes it affects my study focus

- When I stop for weeks, my urge/libido drops and I feel “off,” so I start again

Confusion:

- Science says moderate masturbation is normal

- But personally, I feel it’s becoming a coping habit (boredom/loneliness), not just physical

What I want:

- Better control over urges

- Improved focus for studies

- Less guilt and mental distraction

Questions:

  1. Should I aim to completely quit, or just control frequency?

  2. How do I stop using it as a response to boredom/loneliness?

  3. What practical strategies actually work long-term?

Looking for realistic advice, not extreme opinions.

uk i am not too much addicted to porn fap. i usually do twice or thrice a week but sometimes I am alone or missing someone no one to hangout I do it ... but right after that I feel guilty. why I did that I should Stop masturbation it is making me weak and not able to focus on my studies.

i watch videos and stop masturbating for weeks but after that I feel this is a normal process with no harmful effects on me . basically when I stop fap there is a decrease in labido and urge which I don't feel normal ...so I start again.. now I don't know what to do should I stop or continue cause science say it's normal process and dharm guru say it is sin .
