Starting to feel like the pacing in this game was actually perfect for the standard player.
I'm not a streamer. I play a couple hours a night 3 or so times a week and a bit more on the weekends.
I play with a group of friends that all have full time jobs.
We spent the early days getting our feet wet on perimeter and dire. Moved on to more routinely doing outpost and building up our vault and wallet and getting upgrades.
Just about the time we were getting ready to move on to a bigger challenge, our accounts were in a place for some early cryo runs. We got stomped as we were trying to learn the map but just kept going in and now have learned the game, map, and each other's play styles well enough to consistently exfil successfully.
We have been slowly working our way through vaults. Have now completed 1-4 and feel ready to do 5 and 6. (Key for 6 probably seems a little too tough to get still?).
This progression from what at one point seemed insurmountable to the Compiler being a realistic goal for us is the most fun I've had gaming in as long as I can remember. Maybe my most complete gaming experience ever.
Sure there are some pain points, but goodness did Bungie craft a masterpiece. Look out compiler. We're comin.
Thank you Bungie 🫡
