Hey fellow theorists,
Music teacher and educator here in need of a bit of help: I'm in the process of translating a voluminous range of material for my mentor and boss, with english as our landing language. Surprising no one AI is doing a mediocre job at it and I'm in charge of revising all of the corpus.
Here I go with my first questions.
How common is the word Quadriad when indicating a 4 note chord? Is "seventh chord"preferred? or maybe "four-note chord"?
Quadriad is the prominent one in my language (quadriade) but I rarely see it used in english.
Second question is: half-step VS semitone VS whole-step VS whole-tone...can anyone clarify if there's any difference in perception and usage? (english speaking people first and foremost)
