Friend is afraid of confrontation and I questioned whether this looks professional. Most of the siding looks great but these areas bug me.
Should there be gaps at transition points?
The one wall is 3 feet wide and white trim goes all the way down to the concrete. The other corner terminates at the garage and trim does not go down to the concrete.
Gable trim looks all banged up.

Does anyone have experience with professional siding that can offer some opinions on whether or not this is acceptable or what to tell the contractor before he pays them?

This pic is the before pic. He kept the brick exposed in front but the sides are all siding.
