Completely feeling lost without jobs/interviews
Hi, I'm an ECE masters new grad from a T20 engineering school with no internship experience. I've done resume workshops, tried tailoring towards specific jobs, attempted at big tech and smaller scale companies, applied with referrals, and applied to different roles including DV, RTL, CAD.
I haven't had any luck whatsoever and it feels like I'm not even passing the first screening. While I realize that not having job experience has an impact, I thought I had a relatively solid project background designing out of order processors, ASIC such as an SpMM, creating hand layouts and APR etc. People keep saying my resume looks strong enough but I just never hear back from a single place I apply. Is that just the market right now? I feel like I just must be doing something wrong, but don't know where to start looking. Now that I am out of school, it's hard to look at internships because many of them if not all that I've seen require me to be in school still. Even the ones I did apply to, I never heard back. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
