Car transmission broke within exchange period
Hello all, I bought from a used car dealership and the car transmission completely broke it seems like, on the third day. 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport with 85,000 miles on it. They have a 5 day period where you can bring it back if anything goes wrong with it and they will fix it. If they can’t fix it they will exchange for a different vehicle. Thank god for that…….
My question is mainly that I’m wondering should I reach out to the lender Capital One and explain what happened and see if they will cancel the funding? I’m on my 5th day now. The dealership hasn’t got back to me about their plans for the car yet. But I wouldn’t mind just getting out of the contract altogether. I told the dealership that and of course they said that wasn’t an option. But what if I told the lender that the transmission went out….
Would they consider canceling the funding thus getting me out of the deal? (Unless the dealership sued me of course) thanks and sorry for being such a novice on all this stuff. I’m pretty sure the answer is no to any of this stuff but just checking what you all may think. Thanks.
