I’m in the unfortunate position where I don’t have time to shop around and negotiate on a used vehicle and need to buy something site unseen.

I’ve been looking at a 2020 Toyota Tundra SR on Carmax and a 2020 Toyota Tundra SR5 on Autonation. Both are high mileage and far away and will be 1k to ship to me. Also both note some ‘damage’ reported in their carfax/autocheck but otherwise have good maintenance histories and clean titles.

Since it’ll be sight unseen with a on refundable $1k shipping cost, I have to lean heavy on reputation. The Autonation SR5 seems much better price and from what I understand I may even have room to negotiate, but the dealer is being a little weird about selling over the internet. I also wonder how Autonation can really work when they’re dependent on individual dealers to uphold their reputation.

Anyone have any thoughts on if it’s really wise to favor the Carmax truck? I’d guess it’s priced an easy $2k higher than the other when considering the difference in mileage and trim level.

I’m looking at a ‘21 STX with the 2.7. I infrequently tow, but may on occasion pull a utility trailer or car dolly. In particular I was planing on towing my ‘67 F100 on a dolly about 250 miles and was curious how it’d hold up.

Anyone use theirs for towing?

My switch2 was stolen at Denver airport a month ago. Is there any way I can disable it remotely with my serial? It is registered to my Nintendo account.
