Speaking strictly from a financial position. Since most full time positions in our profession base our salary off years of experience, at what point during our travel career does it make sense to settle to go perm? I’m taking into consideration duplicating expenses of ~$1750/ month- $2000/ month to be deduct from our yearly travel pay. Also the benefits from a salary position can’t be excluded. I feel that it’s obvious for new grads to consider travel relative to their starting pay but does it still make financial sense with 5 years under our belt? 10 years? I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts/ experiences!
