We have a set of cabinets that were added to our 1910 home in the late 30s. They're nothing fancy but do provide a lot of storage in a house that didn't start with much. As I'm redoing the upstairs parlor, I want to update the cabinet (it's effectively a giant frame with multiple doors and drawers). What I'd like to do is cut off the top (row of 5 doors) and trim it out (pics attached). What tool do you think would be best? I was originally thinking jigsaw but then thought maybe reciprocating/oscillating multi-tool? Also looking for blade recommendations.
ETA... the AI pic is simply to show the elimination of the top row of doors and framing. I plan to replace the lower doors & drawers with new shaker fronts but am not planning on making them inset as the photo shows.
