From what I understand is that Lyft owes us for the earnings guarantee for the first three days of the week before May 1st.

I have not received mine. Has anybody else received theirs?

In the past, if I got anything back, it would’ve been in my account by now and I’m concerned because lyft took out 40% to 50% on every single ride that I accepted on those three days ending at 11:45 pm April 30th. At 12:15 AM, May 1 that’s when the new calculation for rides appeared.

Lyft charged the passengers more than they normally would and it didn’t matter what time of day ( I drive in a small market so I’m pretty familiar with what passengers pay throughout the day)
If I ever do get a top off, it’s always in my account by this time.

Lyft owes me approximately $60. I have never gotten that much back in the past.

I’m done I cannot do this anymore. Every single ride today lyft has taken 45 % to 55%.
Just like yesterday and the day before that. Lyft has also been charging the pax 4 to 6 dollars more, I drive a small market. I pretty much know what the fares normally are.

What the fucking justifies charging $14 for a 2 mile trip. Lyft takes $8.00. $.50 for the external fees Leaving me with $5.50 which would’ve been the same fare if the passengers fare was $7.99 which would’ve been normal.
At a time when drivers need the money the most they pull this fucking shit!

According to Lyfts calculations including the goddamn external fees I have recorded ON AVERAGE 52% OF ALL THE FARES since this started.

And we are all very much aware they have 30 days to manipulate it so by the end of the month. LYFT WINS DRIVERS LOSE!

It was never this bad before ever!

Anything over six dollars, the mileage is ridiculously high and with Lyfts gas discounts I can muster up maybe $.30 off a gallon and I’ve used up all my loyalty points at the gas station with gas climbing up $.20 a day it seems like. Today it was $4.50. Gas used to be $2.30 average.

I have no doubt in my mind that lyft is doing this on purpose. They’re cashing in on this gas crisis. Just like every fucking corporation is right now!

And yes, I am bitching about it and IF anybody wants to be a little me or tell something else blah blah blah blah blah keep your fucking opinion to yourself. You don’t know why I drive. You will be deleted.!

I have noticed that when it comes to political spaces , the bots that are spreading the hate lies and propaganda have infiltrated Facebook accounts that have not been used for a long time. This allegedly makes the account look like it’s legitimate.

The content in the profile is mostly hundreds of posts within a month or two and then if you get past that, then you can see the last actual real entry by the owner of the account is as close as a year ago.

Why does Facebook allow this? There’s no way to report that something is a fake account, but this is real problem. Some of the threads are just bots responding to other bots.

It’s not my problem that when I arrived to pick up, I could not see any icon that you were close by because somebody else ordered a ride for you.

It’s not my problem that you decide to wait until 15 seconds before the time is expired to call me.

It’s not my problem that your friend put in the wrong address and you’re expecting me to go pick you up at the other address.

It’s not my problem that I’m going to cancel

And it’s not my problem if you don’t get your money back. I’m not Lyft. Don’t ask me.

This new way of calculating the 30% started on May 1.

What about the week that would’ve started on Monday, April 27 through the 30th which was on Wednesday?

Until 11:59 PM Wednesday night it was the old way of calculating the 30%.

For those three days lyft took 40% to 45% of every ride ( total $120 45% at 11:45pm April 30th )

It’s very clear that that is not included in this calculations so am I going to get that money that lyft technically owes me.

Right before midnight . Right after midnight. The May 1st Lyft grift.

It would be interesting to know if other markets Lyft pulled this bullshit prior to May 1st new 30/70 calculations

This is what is happening in St Cloud MN

I’m pretty sure that I lost $15 on “paper” but much more because of algorithm manipulation before midnight April 30th.

My first thought is did Lyft manipulate all markets so they would make a huge profit before May 1 all during the worst oil crisis the United States has been experienced in history.

( In my small market on any given day it’s always been difficult to make any money due to saturation, cheap pax fares, longer pick ups and longer distances. It’s become exponentially worse since gas prices have been rising that takes cherry picking to a new level. Lyfts fares ever since this crisis started have become beyond insulting considering how much they were charging the passengers)

Since the day the gas prices started to rise Lyft was charging passengers around four dollars more per ride no matter what time of day it was. Lyft did its usual Lyft manipulation of what they took out and actually for the first time in a long time I did get a top off $7.02 weeks ago and $5.25 last week.

BUT

Starting last Monday , I noticed that Lyft was taking about 40% to 45% of each of my fares. My “cut” was remaining steady at 60% until last night ( before midnight ) when Lyft took out no more that $.75 for external expenses and no more than $1.25 platform fees out of the higher fares for each ride which raised my percentage up to 65% ( I’ve taken a screenshot throughout this whole week for each individual rides and what they took out)

The first and second screenshot was taken at 11:38pm April 30th that showed what I would get at the end of the week if I quit driving for the week.

The third screenshot was taken at 12:10am May 1st . It was an individual ride. My next ride was a no-show and the third ride. I kicked somebody out of my car and I had to call the police so I was done for the night.

My question is …. Since the first started in the middle of the week, whatever I was owed before midnight April 30th just disappear? The screenshot shows what it always does about the Lyft guarantee. If I don’t reach 70% I would get the difference on May 4.

If you got this far reading this and you feel the need to express a condescending, insulting remark regarding my choice to drive for Lyft because trolling post is what you do. I posted this to show what’s going on in my market.. this is a sub Reddit for drivers to talk about what’s going on in their market so keep your opinion into yourself and you will be deleted.
