Looking for shops in Nagoya that specialises in artist materials; linotype tools, varieties of papers for sketching/linotype/book binding, pencils, brushes, pigments, natural dye, etc.
And shops that are selling more niche perfume/scents than the usual brands you find in shopping malls, thanks
After reading a couple of travel articles advising people on what to pack, some rec you should ’bring your own deodorant, or two-three’ to Japan. Reason was because deodorant is hard to buy in Japan. Is this is accurate??And if deodorants is uncommon, what do people use instead?
I don't mean to come off as disrespecful, I fully understand if it's gets warm, and that any type of body odour is unwelcome in any country
Edit: I always bring my deodorant so no need to comment on this, really👹 initial q was why would deodorants be hard to buy in Japan?
(I can add I’m going in middle of May-first week in June)
My dearest Nagoya
I'm writing this message because I've heard you're not as good as other cities and places in your country. I really feel for you, and I think these claims might be a bit off the mark.
I really believe that, just like other cities - you have your share of contradictions, but I think you deserve to be even more confident in yourself. I'll be visiting soon to see you with my own eyes and walk along your pavements. I'd love to get lost here, and see something other than the castle or a shopping centre. Maybe a beautiful hill, or a particularly comfortable bench where I can take a break? Where do you hide that little local bar where I can stop and rest my feet on my way through your neighbourhoods. Is there a certain bus stop or line to take? A place of nostalgia? I appreciate the little things in life; getting lost, admiring craftsmanship and at times microbreweries or coffee roasters. But equally, a simple walk, a library, or something you wouldn't show just anyone!
Im looking forward meeting you and be able to say that there’s so many hidden gems you hold.
