Carry wasp makes no sense? Why am I seeing it all of a sudden?

I've never played carry wasp, but I ran into a few players going into it hard recently, with jump drive it can look really scary, seeing 8 packs of wasps on your flanks one round and then back to the other.

But each time, I just spam built AA mustangs and won with ease each time...so what gives? Unless they are somehow giant spec and still spamming wasps each turn, it's hard to lose unless you spam mustangs. I don't see how this strat makes any sense unless your op just never builds AA at all. Werid.

Only way I see it being OP is if the improved wasp card hits early and your OP doesn't have the AA tech on the mustangs, that's about it honestly.

Anyone got a awesome Hacker story?

I love the unit, but it's by far my rarest unit to deploy. I recently was in a 2v2, late game unit drop with lvl 3 worms, I took it but sold mine and I already had the elite hacker card. My op played the worm on the line, in front of my undefended tower. I guessed he would, so I played steel balls with chain infront of an elite hacker with some chaff. Took the worm for 3 rounds, won the game. I think it was my best comeback I've ever done.

Hacker is either a complete flop or epic win, I've haven't found a middle yet, lol.

What happened to Typhoons?

I havn't played since season 4, came back for this season and it's super rare to see them, of course they seem pretty bad right now and I see bearlike is going to be overhauling them, but what happened to them? They were pretty solid back in the day. Actually battled someone who tried to carry with them, steel balls shut them down with ease....well almost any unit does now, lol.

I've lost a few times in the last few weeks to this strat and everyone says go storms, but they click AM on the mustangs, so that's not it. I've tried quite a few options, but nothing seems to counter it unless you do it quick because when the archs/MMs get lvls and elitemark tech, it's over, they have damage, chaff clear and range advantage. I built fortress/Vulcan they added in tons of crawlers and shut me down fast with that. Farseer, AM mustangs stopped me quick just like storms, I go air, they click AA on the MMs. Nothing.

Also part of the this strat is to never range your mustangs, that way they keep coming in front of the archs/MMs and prevent anything from hitting them, tried sabers/worms and scops, but the mustangs with no range is really smart, they are acting as chaff/damage/AM and block hits for the archs/MMs.

Totally lost on this one, it's a really good strat. How do you counter this play?

edit - I did find one sort of counter, play sledge or scorp with repair and farseer with photon, MMs can't break them. However I've played it and about 75% of time I do, I win with ease. It's an interesting play.

Watching Rooster on YT, the flank strats with units and spells blow my mind. Everything time I think I have something a little figured out, boom, a pro player shows me how to do 10x better. I would say this season I am seeing more stuff I've never seen before. Lost to a huge worm push with 8x worms on a 2v2 and had no idea how to even begin countering it. Game is wild man. 200 hours, 1000 MMR
