Rcmp vs municipal and JI question!
Hello, I was persuaded by some very nice police officers in January to become a cop, I just started learning everything in January but I still have questions.
First of all, I was originally looking at my local municipality but it seems to be the most competitive in the area so I've decided to branch out as well. I've heard the pension is different but can't seem to find the information on it. Does anybody know if municipal and RCMP are on the same pension plan? Does anybody know what the main differences are between the departments? I figure day to day might be similar but what are some key points you think might make me decide one over the other?
Also for JI, I've been a fairly active person in my adult life but have only recently been focusing on cardio (since January). I know this program will be quite cardio intensive but would anybody be able to break down what the average week of exercise will look like at JI? I don't want to apply until I am a competitive candidate and want to make sure I'm not the weakest link if I'm to make it through.
