Feedback from the members after belong.co’s first meetup in Bhubaneswar 🌿

Apparently strangers from Reddit/WhatsApp ended up having genuinely good conversations, random laughs and a surprisingly comfortable vibe together 😭

Due to a personal emergency, I couldn’t attend myself, but hearing the feedback honestly made me really happy.

The whole idea behind belong.co was simple — creating a space where people can connect naturally in real life, beyond endless scrolling and online isolation.

Looks like we’re building something wholesome here ✨

Bhubaneswar feels modern now — cafes, malls, startups, coaching hubs, apartments everywhere — but somehow people feel more disconnected than ever.

What if we organized simple community meetups in the city?

Not networking events.

Not political gatherings.

Not influencer stuff.

Just normal people meeting normal people.

Maybe:

- weekend chai meetups

- community dinners

- book/music/game evenings

- cycling or walking groups

- “eat together” potluck events

- strangers talking without social media filters

A lot of people in Bhubaneswar are students, job seekers, newcomers, people preparing for exams, or working professionals living away from home. Many probably want genuine human connection but don’t know where to start.

The city has the perfect vibe for this:

calm, educated crowd, less chaotic than metro cities, and people are generally approachable.

Would people actually join something like this in Bhubaneswar?

And what kind of meetup would YOU attend?
