My dad threw away a piece of my life history, because he didn’t recognize it.

I’ll try to keep this short. I just want to rant.

I graduated from a film school in 2012. In 2022, the film school had closed and I was working for a production company who bought the film school studio and equipment. We shut the building down and moved all the equipment to a new studio. Full circle life type stuff.

One item I took from that building was a 5ftx4ft poster, very thick plastic, glossy type of poster. the poster was of detailed schematics of the building and messages from the owners. It was something I was planning to keep my entire life.

I keep some personal things at my parent’s house in their storage room. I had just left the poster there a few months ago for safe keeping. My dad was cleaning, didn’t recognize it and thought it was trash. I went to grab the poster today to hang in my new work office, he told me he tossed it.

I was very heart broken. Nothing in the storage room is trash. I’ll never know why he picked up this semi heavy large glossy poster and throw it away.

Oh fucking well I guess.

New addition to the collection. The regular/original version was released in 1995, this chopped and screwed version was released in 2005. UGK is featured on the track “Swing Wide.”

“Straight Gangstaism” chopped and screwed by Og Ron C.

The Geto Boys released ‘Till Death Do Us Part’ in 1993. Willie D left the group the previous year, but was replaced by Big Mike on this album. ‘Crooked Officer’ being the most popular track off the album.

The Chopped and Screwed version was released in the early 2000s.

This is one cold ass album. A gem in my collection.

New chopped and screwed CD for my collection.

During the time of this release (2008), Trae was hot coming off his most successful album ‘Restless,’ that was released the previous year.

The track ‘Screwed up ft Lil Wayne’ from ‘Life Goes On’ made the rounds, mainly because of Wayne but it’s a Trae track at the end of the day.

The following year (2008), Trae and Z Ro (ABN) would release ‘It Is What It Is,’ (classic) And Trae would attack Mike Jones at the Ozone Awards (which probably hurt his career outside of Texas).

The track ‘Nothing to a Boss’ features Slim Thug.

The track ‘Smile’ features 2/3rds of the LOX, Styles P and Jadakiss.

The Track ‘Bucks’ features Jay’Ton and Lil Boss

Outside of ‘48 Hours,’ this is my favorite Trae release. Very happy to get the physical copy for my collection.

My favorite tracks: 1-4, 8-10.

Super dope release from 2002. The Swishahouse remix of ESG & Slim Thug - Boss Hogg Outlaws

Whole album rides, but my fav tracks are 4 and 9

The album is chopped and screwed by Michael 5000 Watts, but also has drops from OG Ron C.

At the time:

ESG was beefing with Lil Flip, there’s a few shots at Flip on this album.

Slim Thug had just left the Swishahouse, under good terms. But he does speak why he felt he needed to leave the Swishahouse.
