We went to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta because my baby has tummy troubles. Her dad, his dad, and his sisters were all born with a partial intestinal blockage so we wanted to get that ruled out to see if that was the cause of her discomfort.
When we get there she has a low grade fever of 98.4 and they are getting her seen pretty quickly.
She was not running a fever before arriving to the hospital
When we get back they say the fever has progressed to 100.4 and then proceed to giving her baby Tylenol.
After attempting to draw blood for over a hour as she’s dehydrated from throwing up in the hospital, they couldn’t find a good vein. At this point i’m very worried. I ask the doctors is that something I should be concerned about or is that normal. They stated it’s normal.
They gave her a CT scan on her abdomen and X-rays, everything came back normal.
Her blood work came back normal and her urine.
They told me right when we are about to leave that she has colic and Covid.
Now before anyone wants to jump on me, the hospital and my OB didn’t find it safe for me to get any vaccines whilst i was pregnant or after she was born except the Vitamin K.
I’m giving her Infant Tylenol that they recommended from the hospital. what other tips, actions or supplements can i take to help her overcome this virus quicker?
Also for her colic, i’m giving her gripe water that her pediatrician recommended but what is a good brand that has worked for your babies?
