A summary of the story: An old man is on his death bed and longs to meet his great great great grand child which he imagines would exist around now, with his ability to lucid dream he goes to sleep and imagine himself holding a baby version off his most recent grandson, he has dementia and falls out of a lucid state and is simply dreaming and is simply holding a conversation with the baby. He remembers from his brutal past why the rest of his family is not there with him. When he was much younger, he had brutally killed his wife in front of his kids for standing for her kids after they broke a TV (he had been severely drunk during the homicide). He then realizes how illogical it is for them to then give their baby to him, he then remembers again that it is simply just a dream and that he would never actually see his great great great grandson ever. With that realization he breaks down into tears and cries in his dream, this high emotional state affects his dream for the worst.
