This more about the US but I guess it can apply to other countries too.

I live in the US, and I hear so many people complain about their tax dollars going to other people through social programs.

My question is: why is that an issue if you live in a country/state/city? If everything is all about you and you not paying for things that help the citizens of your country as a whole, then why are you accepting benefits from these social programs?? Why do you even live here if you only care about yourself and not the country as a whole?

A country/city/state is not just you. If more people succeed, get good jobs, live happier lives, would that not create a stronger and better country???

To other people who live in the US: if you don’t even want to be actually united as a country, if you actively don’t want people to have opportunities to succeed and improve their lives, then why are you in the US?

Some people act like if someone complains about the US then they should leave, but in reality, the ones who don’t want to see our country or its people improve that should leave. If you don’t want to pay for any social safety nets and basically be on your own, go do that in a country or place that will leave you be, and stop trying to hold our country back.
