Seeking help restore a storytelling project

Hello all. I am seeking help in desperately trying to find something. My normal methods (magical and otherwise) are not working and I always seem to have more success when a fellow traveler uses their powers of divination to help me.

I am a writer and filmmaker. I was working with a wonderful fellow scribe and performer in creating a wonderful storytelling project which centered on stories of the sea. This was a while ago. We shot some preliminary scenes and my creative partner was wonderful.

For some reason when I looked at my own performance I went into a mental tailspin. All I could do was focus on  a deep crease that had appeared in the fabric of the blazer I was wearing as part of my character. I couldn't see anything else - and my OCD kicked in big time.

I went on a quest to find the perfect replacement blazer, and after visiting every thrift store in a fifty-mile radius (and the occasional sale at Macy's), I finally found what I was looking for.

I then thought I would rewrite part of the story as certain points needed clarifying. I then hit a wall of writer's block and distracted myself with other projects.

The years have now gone by and by chance I happened upon the original clip of myself in the offending item of clothing. It didn't look nearly as bad as I remembered and the storytelling was good.

And now, as much for my wonderful creative partner as for myself, I want to complete the project using what we had already recorded.

If you are still with me, this is where I need help. The scenes were shot on digital video tape. I thought I had safely stored them - but in my madness I may have put them somewhere strange. I have searched everywhere with no luck, and as I mentioned at the beginning - my usual esoteric method for finding something has yet to work.

If someone could kindly use their esoteric powers to help me find the tapes I will be eternally grateful. Apologies for the long post - but it somehow seemed important to tell the story.

Thank you

Hello all. I'm going quietly insane. I'm using Handbrake for the first time. All I want to do is transform a 1440 x 1080i (interlaced) video clip (captured via FireWire from HD video tape) into standard 1920 x 1080p (progressive). No matter what I do it keeps reverting to 1440 x 1080. Ideally I want to be able to save it as a preset as I have many more clips to deinterlace for a project. I have been using Topaz AI (Dione) which is great but takes forever. Can someone please help? I've exhausted Google and ChatGPT on the subject - all to no avail. Thanks.
