Everything is so transactional as a man it’s so fake

Not trying to sound entitled or lazy in any way but it’s such a shitty realisation that as a man you’re only worthy of love or kindness if you have something to offer. I don’t even just mean romantic love but even the love from your family and friends too. As a person I’ve never looked into the pockets of another person or what possessions they have to like them or care for them. I’ve only ever looked for how they treat me as a person and that’s all I need. You could be the poorest of the poor but if you’re genuinely good to me then I’ll always have your back and I wouldn’t even hide it out of shame or anything. But unfortunately that’s just me and maybe some other people but for the vast majority of people, nobody respects or even wants to be associated with a man who isn’t providing some sort of value to the world. I’m not saying a man should be lazy and not provide any sort of value to the world and expect kindness and love automatically but what about those who are genuinely capped and cannot? Or those who give their best efforts but their best isn’t enough for the world so people collectively decided to treat them like the dirt under their shoe because of that reason. Anyone else feel the same? Not just men but I’m pretty sure women can go through this too in their own individual way.

I’ve never understood this I literally cannot grasp my head around it. All newborns have that same scrunched up look on their face given the fact that they just had to fight their way out of a womb so it really baffles me when someone looks at a newborn and goes “oh! He looks like uncle tom” no he doesn’t?? His features haven’t even developed yet. Anyone else not understand this? Or just me? 😅
