Why cant i get over her? M18 F18
me M18 dated a girl in 2023 and broke up in 2024. at the time i was 15-16 and she was the same age. This was 2 years ago and since then I've dated around 7 different girls, but none of them stick and i always find myself going back to this girl and constantly thinking about her. I broke up with her the first time and there has been a couple of times we have tried to get back together, but then I realize why we broke up. the problem is that I know we don't work together, yet I can't get her out of my head even 2 years later. I constantly think about her and search for her in girls when I'm trying to date.
I want to understand why I cant get over her. since it makes no sense why I still love her so much. people constantly tell me to get a new hobby or distract yourself. (the regular things that people would respond to this situation), but trust me I've tried and It doesn't work at all. I need a real answer to how to get over her, since I don't know if I ever will.
