WDH or no?

WDH or no?

Hey everyone. I’ve been going back and forth with this dilemma for awhile. I own a 24’ Silverado 3/4. I own a 2016 Keystone Passport Ultra Lite 28’. Tandem axles with a 15” gap. With the trailer loaded it weighs maybe 5800lbs. Tongue weight 700lbs. I have a nice adjustable drop hitch to level it out and I’ll never be that idiot going 70mph down the interstate. The furthest I’ll drive it is maybe 4 hours away once a year and local camping the rest of the time.

Seriously, do I really need a WDH? (The picture showing is not with the hitch I actually bought, I know it sits high with that one)

(Pithy comments welcome, but also be honest, but also be absolutely pithy. It makes me laugh)

Hi everyone! I hope this is the correct sub to ask this question. I’m also fairly new to the RV game. I have a 28’ TT that my wife wants to take to a friend’s property for a week. There will be multiple trailers there with no option for power. I only plan on running the fridge during the day as well as the AC overnight. What size generator will be enough? Please and thank you all in advance!

Edit: Great information everyone. Thank you all for your advice and suggestions. I have enough to work with to make an informed decision. You guys were awesome!
